Short and multi-day departures
Desert Trips from Marrakech
You don’t need a whole week to feel the desert. From Marrakech you can reach the quiet Agafay desert in under an hour or set out on a multi-day drive to the deep dunes of the Moroccan Sahara; both run as private trips, door to door.

Agafay desert, Marrakech
An hour from the city, the Agafay desert is a stony, moon-like plateau framed by the Atlas. Spend an afternoon and evening at a marrakech desert camp: a camel ride, dinner and a campfire on the edge of the desert, an easy add-on to any Marrakech stay.

Multi-day desert trips
For the deep dunes, plan 2-4 days. We cross the Atlas, pass the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the Todra gorge, and overnight in the Moroccan Sahara at Merzouga with a camel ride and a night under the stars.
