The blue north and the golden desert in a single round trip from Tangier: up into the Rif to Chefchaouen, over to Fes and its historic medina, then down the scenic Ziz Valley to Merzouga for a 4×4 day with the Berber nomads, Sirji Lake and Rissani, and a sunset camel ride into a camp beneath the stars before returning north. Tangier to Chefchaouen
A short walk around Tangier, then travel to Chefchaouen, the stunning blue town of the Rif Mountains, for the night.
Chefchaouen to Fes
Enjoy the views on the drive to Fes, then explore the medina and its historic schools, overnighting in the city.
Fes to the Erg Chebbi
Via Ifrane, Azrou and the Ziz Valley with its gorges, oases and reservoir, then through Errachidia east to Merzouga for a short walk and a night at the dunes.
A 4×4 day in the Sahara
Drive the Sahara by 4×4 to meet the Berber nomads, see Sirji Lake and the old market of Sijilmassa at Rissani with Berber-pizza lunch, then a sunset camel ride over the dunes, dinner and music at the camp.
Merzouga back to Fes
A dune-top sunrise and camel ride back to the village, then north with a lunch stop to drop you at your Fes hotel.
Fes to Tangier
The drive north from Fes to Tangier port, where the tour concludes.

Two ways to camp and a window of best seasons under this stretch of sky.
Camp type. Choose the authentic Berber camp with traditional tents and mattresses on the sand, or a fixed comfort camp with real beds, private bathrooms and hot showers. Both are within walking distance of the Erg Chebbi dunes and include dinner and breakfast round the fire.
